Modify a sequence
You can change a sequence at two points:
During creation — while building it, adjust steps, templates, timing and channels freely.
After creation — go to the Sequences section and open the sequence you want to update.
With the sequence open you can:
Add or remove a step
Change the channel a step uses
Adjust the delay between steps
Swap the template attached to a step, or edit the template itself
Change any other step-level option in the sequence editor
What happens when you modify a sequence
Your changes apply to every contact currently enrolled in that sequence, not just to contacts you add afterwards. Steps, templates, channels and delays all update for active prospects, which keeps everyone on the same version of your outreach.
Worth pausing on if the sequence is running at scale: a change to step 3 will reach contacts who have not got there yet.
Before you delete: consider archiving
If you only want a sequence out of your active list, archive it instead. Archiving stops everyone currently enrolled, but the sequence stays editable in the Archived section and can be restored at any time. Deleting cannot be undone.
Delete a sequence
Go to the Sequences section.
Find the sequence and click the three-dot menu on the far right.
Select Delete and confirm.
What happens when you delete a sequence
Everyone currently enrolled is removed from it, and any tasks that came from its steps are permanently deleted along with the sequence itself.
This is irreversible. Nothing about the sequence or its tasks can be recovered afterwards, so archive instead if there is any chance you will want it back.
