Before you start (required)
To use click-to-call from our platform, Aircall must be installed as a Desktop App.
The web version of Aircall does not support click-to-call integrations.
Please make sure that:
The Aircall Desktop App is installed
The app is open and logged in
If Aircall is not installed as a desktop application, click-to-call will not work.
Problem
When clicking the Call button while performing a call task, the Aircall dialer does not open, even though the Aircall desktop app is installed and Aircall is selected as the VoIP system in Crono (to do this: Account Settings → Integrations → Call).
Cause
On Windows, click-to-call relies on system-level call link protocols (such as TEL:).
If Aircall is not set as the default app for call links, Windows does not know which application should handle the call, so nothing happens when you click Call.
Solution
Set Aircall as the default app for call-related protocols in Windows.
How to fix it (Windows)
Open Windows Settings
Go to Apps
Click on Default apps
Select Choose default apps by protocol
Scroll down until you find the TEL protocol
Set Aircall as the default app
(If available, we also recommend setting Aircall for the CALL protocol)
Once this is done, return to our platform and click Call again.
The Aircall dialer should now open correctly.
Additional checks
If the issue persists, please verify that:
The Aircall Desktop App is running (not closed or logged out)
You are assigned to an active line in Aircall
The phone number is in international format (e.g.
+393401234567)
Still not working?
