Crono sends all email through your own mailbox and email infrastructure. This means reputation, authentication and deliverability remain under your control. If recipients are not opening your emails, or if messages are marked as spam, follow the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue.
Crono connects to the email accounts you already use. Crono does not provide its own outbound email servers. Your domain reputation is determined by how recipients interact with your messages. High bounce rates, spam flags and low engagement will reduce deliverability. As a best practice, keep your bounce rate below 5%.
Crono does not include a warm up system. Warm up tools build initial domain reputation by sending controlled messages to known mailboxes that open or reply. If you are using a new domain or have low reputation, consider using a warm up service before sending large campaigns.
Correct configuration of SPF, DKIM and DMARC records at your DNS provider is required. If these records are missing or incorrect, messages can be rejected or marked as spam. Use online diagnostic tools to verify configuration, spam listings and general message quality. Contact your domain provider or IT team to correct missing records.
Check your domain configuration using:
• Valimail Domain Checker (https://www.valimail.com/domain-checker/)
This tool verifies SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and highlights configuration errors that directly impact deliverability.
Run a test before sending large campaigns to ensure your domain authentication is correctly set up.
Open tracking uses a tracking pixel. Link tracking redirects through Crono servers. Security filters sometimes flag messages that include domains different from the sender domain. Crono provides a configuration that allows you to track using your own domain with a CNAME so that Crono links do not appear in your emails. Follow the dedicated setup guide in this Help Center to configure it.
Support workflow when issues occur
Run the tests listed above to check authentication and spam lists.
If authentication is correct, configure domain based tracking to avoid Crono domains appearing in your emails.
If you suspect Crono is the cause, send the same message through Crono and through your mailbox directly to compare results.
