Outlook integration step by step

Crono allows you to integrate your Outlook corporate account to send and track emails directly from the platform.

On your first access you will be asked to log into your Outlook account and accept the integration with Crono.

Click on the Outlook Icon to continue. Once you have chosen your account, you will need to enable all the available options before proceeding to the integration to make sure Crono works properly.

Is Outlook blocking you from proceeding with the integration?

With Outlook, if you are not the admin of the workspace, you will need the admin's permission to allow Crono to integrate with your email.
Additionally, sometimes users are not even authorized to request such permission.

There are therefore 2 steps to follow:

First step is to allow users to request access to the Admin, here's the procedure:

  • Sign in to the Azure portal as a Global Administrator.

  • Enterprise Applications > User settings' page

  • Enable "Users can request admin consent to apps they are unable to consent to"

  • Register some trusted user who has an email inbox as a reviewer by pressing the "+ Add users" button.

  • Press save.

Second step is for each user to enter Crono and request the permission, here's the procedure:

  • Inside Crono, proceed with integrating the email account by putting Outlook credentials.

  • Depending on the authorization given by the Email administrator, the below notification may appear:

  • When you reach the "need admin approval" page, the user will need to request approval

  • Microsoft will send an email to the email administrator for the request- they'll need to press "approve" in the email sent by Microsoft- this has now approved the user to connect to Event Temple

  • In Event Temple, the user will need to re-authorise their email once more now that the email admin has given approval

In case the approvals need to be handled manually or the email is not received, the Admin can approve the requests of the users with the following procedure.

You can find the procedure here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/review-admin-consent-requests
