How does Contact Data validation work?
A quick tutorial on Contact Data validation
Enabling the Contact data validation feature in your strategy allows you to ensure that contacts missing certain information are kept out of your strategy; alternatively, you can set it so that when this information is missing, Crono automatically skips the tasks that cannot be executed due to the missing information.
Do not enroll contacts in the strategy - 1st mode
It's up to you to decide which contact information will be must-have requirements for contacts to enter the strategy in question.
The activation of the Contact Data Validation with this specific mode ensures that only contacts with existing and verified information (e.g., Email, as shown in this image) will be enrolled into the strategy where you activate it.
If you choose to activate both the email field and the LinkedIn URL field, only contacts with both pieces of information existing and verified will be eligible to be enrolled in your strategies.
Consequently, if you attempt to add a contact to this strategy with a missing or invalid email or without a LinkedIn URL, Crono will not include that contact in the strategy due to the Contact Validation rule.
This is, of course, an excellent way to avoid having tasks fail due to missing information.
Enroll contacts but skip the tasks - 2nd mode
With this alternative, contacts will be regularly enrolled in the strategy; simply, when Crono encounters a block in executing an automatic task related to a missing field, it will automatically skip the task and proceed to the next one.
An excellent way to keep your Tasks page free of error tasks and to keep the strategy running smoothly on all prospects, without any interruption!
