How to intepret your sequences' metrics?
A quick guide to understand your sequences' Metrics
What Are Sequence Metrics?
The Metrics section in Crono gives you a clear overview of how your sequence is performing. Here, you’ll find valuable data such as how many contacts are still active in the flow, how many have replied, and what the outcome of those replies was.
This view helps you understand whether your sequence is performing well or if it needs some adjustments to improve its overall effectiveness.
In the next sections, we’ll take a closer look at each individual metric and what it means for your sequence performance.
Understanding Sequence Metrics One by One
The Metrics section is divided into six key categories that help you track how your contacts are progressing through the sequence. You can refer to the numbers in the image below to see where each metric appears. Here's what each one means:
Active: Contacts listed as Active are currently moving through the sequence. This means one or more upcoming steps are still scheduled to be executed for them.
Stopped: Stopped includes contacts for whom the sequence has been manually interrupted. Unless reactivated, these contacts will no longer receive any steps from the sequence.
Replied: Contacts marked as Replied have responded to one of the steps in the sequence - like an email or a LinkedIn message. However, Crono has detected a negative sentiment in their reply, meaning they showed disinterest in the proposal.
Converted: This category includes contacts who also replied to a message in the sequence, but with neutral or positive sentiment. This means either the response was neutral (neither yes nor no) or clearly showed interest in the proposal being made.
Finished: Contacts under Finished have completed the sequence without ever responding. They went through all the steps, but no reply was detected, so the sequence is now considered complete for them.
Filtering Contacts by Metric
By clicking on any individual metric, you can filter and view only the contacts associated with that specific status.
In the example shown below, clicking on Converted will display only the contacts who replied positively - or with neutral interest - to one of the steps in the sequence. This allows you to quickly analyze outcomes and take action based on how each group has interacted with your outreach.
Viewing and Responding to Interactions
By clicking on a specific interaction within the table - like an email or a LinkedIn message - you can open a detailed view of that action, as shown in the example below.
In this case, clicking on the LinkedIn message under Step 2 opens the full conversation on the right-hand side. Here, you can read both your message and the contact’s reply, along with the detected sentiment (e.g. Positive, Neutral, or Negative).
From this view, you can click on "Open inbox" to continue the conversation directly from there.
Tracking Email and Link Opens
If your sequence includes email steps, the Metrics section also allows you to track how contacts are engaging with those emails.
As shown in the image below, you’ll be able to see:
How many contacts opened the email
How many clicked on any links you included in the message
