You can create a sales sequence (see what it is) in a easy way going to the Strategies section and clicking Create new in the top right of the screen:

You will then have three options: choose from our library to duplicate a strategy (and its related templates) from those we offer, create one from scratch, or create one with AI.

Choose one of the three, and then click Next to proceed.


Create from scratch

First, you need to choose a name for your strategy.

Then, start building it by deciding how many steps it will include and which channels you want to use (Email, LinkedIn, Call). In order to add a step, click on the dedicated button:

You can get creative with how you structure it, starting from the very first step.
In this example, the strategy begins with a LinkedIn invitation:


This task is set to be scheduled after a one-day delay. In fact, before each step, you can define how many days should pass between one action and the next. This helps space out your outreach and avoid overwhelming your prospects.
By setting a one-day delay before the first step, it means that if I add a contact to the strategy today, the LinkedIn invitation to that contact will be scheduled for tomorrow, respecting that one-day wait.

As mentioned earlier, for each step, we can decide whether to perform it manually or make it automatic.

By clicking this button to automate the step, for each contact added to the strategy, this initial LinkedIn invitation task will be executed automatically at the specified time without me having to do it manually.

If I were to leave this task in manual mode, I would have to execute it on the dedicated Tasks page.

Templates

Moving on with the strategy steps, let's add a template to this second LinkedIn Message step.

By clicking on Add template, you can insert one of the templates that you have already created previously.

If you want to create it at that moment, you can start writing directly from there.

Note that you can automate a message or email step only if you already selected a template for that step:

Condition

The condition banner appears in the strategy from the moment you insert a LinkedIn Invitation step + a LinkedIn Message step. It’s a branching step in the strategy that changes depending on whether your LinkedIn invitation is accepted or not.

The condition works like a time window you set for your prospects.

Within this time window—and not beyond it—Crono waits and checks if the prospect accepts the LinkedIn invitation you sent.

If the window expires without an accepted invite, the strategy automatically branches to the right, in order to "bypass" the LinkedIn message step (which can only be sent once the invitation is accepted) and continue with the first available task that doesn’t require an accepted LinkedIn connection.

A practical example:

Let’s set the condition to 5 business days (since Crono strategies always follow business days).

You send the invitation (either manually or automatically via Crono). The prospect now has 5 business days to accept it.

  • If they accept within 5 business days, we’re still inside the condition window, so the strategy proceeds to the left, and the LinkedIn message is sent as planned.

  • If they don’t accept within those 5 business days, starting from day 6, the strategy branches to the right, skipping the LinkedIn message (which can’t be sent) and moving forward with tasks that don’t require an accepted LinkedIn connection.

  • Instead of simply "skipping and jumping" to the next step, users with Sales Navigator can insert a LinkedIn InMail as an alternative to the LinkedIn message when branching to the right.

    This way, if the connection request isn’t accepted within the set condition window, the strategy doesn’t just bypass the LinkedIn message—it adapts by sending an InMail instead, ensuring the flow keeps moving while still leveraging LinkedIn touchpoints.

The more days you give the condition, the more flexible you are in allowing the prospect to accept—but this also means the overall strategy might slow down significantly.

Important: any wait days in front of steps still apply and are not affected by the condition.


Now your strategy is created and you can start to enroll prospects on it and start the journey to convert them!
